i was on multiple websites like a hawk during prime day… Woot, Amazon, Newegg, Slickdeals, etc… I got kinda lucky with ram, $230 for 32gb DDR5. And a CPU/Mobo combo.

old PCs are still powerful, any anything from 2018 and newer is still supported. only thing that would get you is if you just have to have very high framerates or 4k.
get a unlocked 9th gen i5 or above, rtx 2080, appropos mobo and ram, and stay rocking for a couple more years
